“We first saw Brain Fitness Expert, Jill Hewlett of Brain Works Global Present at the annual HRPA conference at the Metro Convention Center.
Her seminar was unique and the content could apply to both professional and personal life, as well as everyday functioning. The tools and content were easy, practical, and fun to do. The entire audience could feel the difference it made.
Soon after we had Jill launch Brain Fitness within our organization at our annual staff development day, where our entire staff of 115 people come together to learn and focus on professional development.
Our staff loved the training! It took standard health and wellness topics to a whole new level that was innovative and fun, with a completely different twist on how to attain their success.
Jill’s message was clear: “You can change your brain, you can change yourself, you can change your results! It’s fun, easy and effective.”
During the session break, participants came up to Karen and said this was the best training they’ve ever had! Many people have since told us that they had no idea how simple exercises and perspectives could impact their brain and overall health so much.
I also heard people were fascinated by Jill’s ability to do an entire half day presentation without looking at notes! Others told me she made the learning fun, easy to understand and was so enthusiastic which really helped make the morning interesting. As well, people love pictures and stories, Jill offered a great variety of learning approaches and applications.
Our HR team was happy to see everyone was engaged and they received tools to take away that they could use every day. Normally when we do training, people aren’t as complimentary, so thank you so much Jill!
Our view on education is to address the whole person. We empower our people to self-support first if they are having a bad day, having difficulty learning something new or simply wanting to manage their stress levels. Our experience is that if employees have tools when then need them, they will use them. This leads us to having healthier and happier employees, which has many positive effects on our organizational wellness and productivity.
Learning is a lifelong skill, which requires ongoing re-enforcement if we want it to successfully impact our long term goals. I have personally found Brain Fitness extremely useful. We all have different learning styles and learning pace, which is why we have a long term plan for this type of training. Our intention is to have the Brain Fitness program integrated as part of our organizational cultural.
There are so many practical uses for these techniques, for example, yesterday I was feeling exhausted and I had to lead a meeting, so I used some of the Brain Fitness techniques to start the meeting. I can use it throughout my day, it’s so simple, and anyone can do it, anywhere, anytime. Most training programs or tools are not that accessible. It is extremely universal for all areas life and people in our lives, positively impacting us, now and in the future.”
